D.'s baptism pictures

I was so excited to take pictures for this sweet girl!  I've been friends with her mom - the whole family, really - for ages.  Even better, I got to use my two favorite talents and add sleeves to this dress before we took the pictures of her in it.  I couldn't find an exact match for the lace overlay, but it was close enough you can't tell from a couple of steps away, which I consider a win.

This shoot was also a chance for me to try out some fun actions, since her mom mentioned hoping for some B & W and sepia toned pictures.  It isn't my usual thing- mainly because I see it overdone by many photographers.  But sometimes an artistic tint can really do wonders for a photograph.

Oh, what a sweet little girl!  And what a serious girl.  She was very intent on studying me quite closely, no matter what peek-a-boo games and silly things I did. The bonus for this session was that we had enough time to give her a nap- giving me a chance to zoom in on all those sweet little features!

Swimsuits!

Another Lula and Roo photo shoot- but this time, we had swimsuits!  The girls were so excited about wearing the suits that they had to go play in the sprinkler after we were done.

Someday I hope to have the equipment to do true "high-key" photography.  That's the best for product shots- a fully blown out, white background.  I think I got closer this time!
